Brismar

Platja Brismar o ses Bassetes is situated at five kilometres from Andratx and is located in the interior of the bay of the port. This very small triangular sandy area is situated at between the breakwater and the sea promenade of Port d‘Andratx (calle Almirall Riera Alemany) and it is the only beach which has fine-grained sand. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. You can park your car for free in the surroundings of this beach. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located next to the beach. In Port d‘Andratx there has been an enormous development, aswell as an important touristic activity, but you can still see the beauty and attraction characteristics of these vertical, steep and abrupt cliffs which lead until Cap de sa Mola. All this is surrounded by residential houses and thick pine trees. The fishing port and the marina are a huge natural sea inlet which is quite sheltered, although the navigator has to be very careful and keep an eye on the sea currents as a result of the surrounding mountains, aswell as the fish farm in the interior. From here you can reach La Trapa (a finca of the GOB which belonged to the trapense order established in Majorca after the French Revolution), Cala d‘Egos or Puig d‘en Garrafa walking. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. Information about this beach may change.
