Cala Millor Son Servera
Cala Millor is situated at three kilometres from Son Servera and is the south-western border of the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Of its 1800 metres in length, 1.320 belong to Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, the rest belongs to Son Servera, although the visitor can't notice it, except if looking at the coastline, which is older and more saturated in Sant Llorenç, and calle Sol Neixent is the limit between both municipalities. This coast began to be a hotel area at the end of the eighties of the 20th century, when it became one of the best and more frequented touristic resorts of Majorca, and among the best known in western Europe. This urban beach is a wide sandy area with fine and white grains, gentle slope, blue, transparent water and posidonia meadow. Dolphins can be seen and it is possible to dive and windsurf. This beach which is open to the sea becomes dangerous for the anchoring of boats and bathing, when the wind blows from east. However, the navigator who wants to anchor here can do so on a sandy ground at a depth that ranges from four to five metres in front of the coast. The nearest port facilities are located at Port Esportiu Cala Bona, at 0,9 nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. There is also a bus service and the bus stop is located at half a hectometre from this beach. The easy accessibility and the described characteristics explain the massive influx or local and tourist visitors. Information about this beach may change.
