Calonet Almadrava
Calonet de sAlmadrava is situated at 16 kilometres from Llucmajor, between Caló de Can Mercadal and Calonet des Cap Alt, and also below the village of Bellavista. This beach is the result of a sea entrance which splits up into two beaches separated from each other by a rocky headland. The right part is u-shaped and not very deep, whereas the left one has the same shape as the first one, but longer. Both beaches are characterized by the rocks, pebbles and the absence of sand. The marine and underwater conditions allow the anchoring of boats only if the weather is good, due to the fact that the coast is wide open and not even the boats with little draught would resist the force of the wind and the sea from southwest to north. Nevertheless, if the conditions are good, the navigator can approach the coast and anchor on the sandy areas that can be seen in front of this beach. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic s'Arenal. This rocky coast which is typical for the southern and south-western area of the island begins at Cala Sant Antoni, adjacent to the starboard breakwater of Club Nàutic s'Arenal, and finishes at the sandy area of sa Ràpita (Campos). The stretch between Punta de s'Arenal and sa Pesquera des Governador is full of steep cliffs, (cales Blava and de ses Lleonardes, Caló des Cap Alt, na Plana, es Mollet des Rei, and other corners), a result of the wind, the sea currents and the mouth of the torrents.
